Muñeca Mexicana is the labor of love of Minerva Orduño Rincón, a reformed architect and far too geeky cook, who was lucky enough to have been born into a family deeply in love with the making and eating of food……

All of the recipes used for Muñeca Mexicana are her own, created through experimentation, research, and inspired by hunger producing phone conversations with her family. When she’s not cooking she writes food columns for the South Mountain District News and the Phoenix New Times food blog, Chow Bella, and thinks about food. (read more)

Fantastic robot sculptures await you at CCC8. Mr. Voigt says of his creations:

Residing in Phoenix Arizona, I find my current materials of choice in a city full of industrial, electronic and military manufacturing history. With items sourced from such diverse products as old manufacturing machines, aircraft, cars, household fixtures and who knows what, my robots come alive with the history of the donor machine parts. People always ask me “where do you find your parts?”, I like to tell them “pick one up and I can tell you its history”. My parts are found hiding out in junk yards, old business, yard sales, friends garages and swap meets. The endless hunt for these parts brings me to some very interesting places full of even more interesting people all the time…” (read more here)

Strawberry Hedgehog

Strawberry Hedgehog is a downtown Phoenix based vegan bath and body company run by Tracy Perkins. Tracy is a soaper by day and geology teacher by night and with the help of many wonderful friends, aka, Soap Gnomes, fabulous soaps, lotions, and head to toe skincare is lovingly made and packaged by hand.
At least 50% of our ingredients in any given product are organic, our entire line is vegan and completely free of artificial dyes, synthetic fragrance, animal testing, harsh preservatives and detergents – just 100% fabulous, natural products that even the most sensitive skin will adore.
